Adobe Premiere Mobile is now available for Android through the Google Play Store.
The app offers multi-track editing, 4K exports, Enhance Audio, and creator-made templates
Firefly features include Generative Fill, Image-to-Video, and AI-generated sound effects
Sep 23, 2026 - Adobe has launched its Premiere mobile video editing app on Android nearly a year after introducing the mobile version on iPhone. The free app brings multi-track editing, 4K video export, audio enhancement, and generative AI features to compatible Android devices. Adobe says users can start editing without an Adobe account or a Creative Cloud subscription.
The Android version uses a multi-track timeline that allows users to combine video clips, music, voiceovers, text, and effects within a single project. It also supports frame-accurate editing for more precise trimming and timing.
Users can begin projects with creator-made templates or edit footage from scratch. The app supports effects, transitions, music, and other creative assets from Adobe Stock, alongside files stored on the device and audio extracted from videos. Videos can be exported at resolutions of up to 4K.
Adobe has also included Enhance Audio, which can reduce background noise and improve the clarity of recordings such as interviews and voiceovers. The feature is aimed at cleaning up audio recorded in environments where controlling background noise is difficult.
Adobe Premiere Mobile includes several Adobe Firefly-powered generative features. These include Generative Fill, Image-to-Video, and Generate Sound Effects, allowing users to create additional visual and audio assets within their projects.
The core editing tools are free, while additional generative AI usage requires Firefly generative credits. Users can also pay for additional cloud storage. Adobe says the free editing experience does not impose forced login or upgrade prompts, and exports do not carry a watermark.
Adobe Premiere Mobile is available through Google Play for devices running Android 13 or later with at least 5GB of RAM. The app follows its iPhone release in 2025 and is now available across both major mobile platforms.
Adobe is also preparing additional features for future updates, including Adobe Fonts, enhanced captions, keyframes, cropping, beat detection, and the ability to continue editing projects on Premiere desktop.
For users in India, Adobe has also said it is working with local creators on regional templates and captions, including Hindi-language support, with additional regional-language capabilities under consideration.
The Android release also comes shortly before Adobe’s planned September 30, 2026 end of support for Premiere Rush, making Premiere Mobile the company’s newer mobile editing option.
